Trump Truth Social Alert is a browser extension that checks for new public posts from President Trump's Truth Social account and delivers browser notifications. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Data Collection

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. It does not use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party services.

Network Requests

The extension makes periodic requests to Truth Social's public API (truthsocial.com) solely to check for new posts. No user data, identifiers, or authentication credentials are sent with these requests.

Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's storage API:

• The ID of the most recently seen post (to detect new ones)
• Your notification preferences (enabled/disabled, polling interval)
• A cache of recent posts for display in the popup

This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the extension.

Permissions

The extension requests only the minimum permissions needed to function: alarms (for periodic checking), notifications (to alert you), storage (to save preferences), and access to truthsocial.com (to fetch posts).
